You asked for it, and here it is! The Planning Cycle Workshop, offering a practical day focussed on implementing the planning cycle in everyday practice!

Due to social distancing requirements, participant numbers for this event are limited and the event will be closed once this number has been reached. Secure your tickets now to avoid disappointment.

NB: All required COVID-19 restrictions will be strictly adhered to and meals will be individually plated at this event.

Current ACECQA Snapshot data tells us that Element 1.3.1 of the National Quality Standard "Each childs learning and development is assessed or evaluated as part of an ongoing cycle of observation, analysing learning, documentation, planning, implementation and reflection" is the most challenging element of the NQS to meet. This element is currently the least met across Australia out of all 40 elements of the National Quality Standard. Alongside this, there is a growing uneasiness expressed from educators about the amount of documentation 'required' in relation to the planning cycle, and the lack of time to actually interact with children!

This full day practical workshop will help you to learn more about implementing the planning cycle at your service in purposeful ways to enrich your program, while ensuring that relationships and interactons with children remain at the forefront of your practice. The Planning Cycle Workshop is for nominated supervisors, educational leaders, curriculum mentors, educators, practitioners, etc. of all services in scope of the National Quality Framework, including: long day care services, outside school hours care services, preschools/kindergartens/prep, family day care services, etc.

Participants will gain an insight into:

  • The purpose of documentation
  • What's meaningful documentation, and what's not!
  • Analysing and interpreting children's learning and development
  • Planning and implementing learning environments and experiences
  • Assessment and evaluation of children's learning
  • Documentation systems that are efficient, authentic, and give you back time with children
  • Strategies to support your team to confidently talk about the planning cycle in action.

Spend a day with your colleagues in this unique workshop experience, developing your skills and expertise, and leave with confidence and strategies to implement at your service the very next day.....

Morning tea and lunch included
