Get hands-on experience with Australia’s only live off-grid Victron Energy training system.

The course provides an introduction to Victron Energy products, software and resources for Automotive, Marine and Off-Grid/ Grid Tie systems. The goal is to get you started designing, quoting and installing your own Victron battery storage systems. It will be valuable for everyone from battery retailers to experienced solar installers or electricians wanting to grow their business by reaching more markets with the latest battery storage technology.

Day 1 is a small, shared classroom for theory and broad system knowledge in two different areas.

Choose the Day 1 theory day that suits you best (or both): 

• Victron Energy Hands-On Training - Day 1 Classroom (Automotive/Marine)
• Victron Energy Hands-On Training - Day 1 Classroom (Off-Grid/Grid Connected)

 NOTE: A minimum of at least one must be completed prior to attending the Day 2 workshop class.

Day 2 is a one-on-one workshop day for hand’s on learning on a live system, so you can put the classroom theory into practice. 

• Victron Energy Hands-On Training - Day 2 Workshop: Battery Storage Systems

You will work on our live training system that can demonstrate both off-grid and grid-tied energy storage with:

• MPPT DC solar


• AC coupled solar with Fronius PV inverter


• Off-grid or grid connected


• Lead or lithium batteries


• Battery monitoring


• Inter-device wireless comms networking


• Remote System Monitoring


• Product parameter set up software


• Product commissioning


• Sizing system components for quoting

 NOTE: After the course, you will be given access to remotely monitor the training system’s performance and history via the free Victron VRM portal.

Class Size

• Automotive/Marine (classroom – max. 5 students per day)
• Off-Grid/Grid Connected (classroom – max. 5 students per day)
• Victron System Workshop (1 student only)

 NOTE: Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to provide one-on-one training and provide everybody with the opportunity to do both course days back-to-back. You don’t have to do the training days consecutively, but we do ask that you complete the course within 6 months.

Class Frequency 

• Day 1 Theory Class – Automotive/Marine – 1st and 2nd Thursday each month
• Day 1 Theory Class - Off-Grid/Grid Connected – 3rd and 4th Thursday each month
• Day 2 Workshop - Off-Grid/Grid Connected – 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Friday each month

 NOTE: Excludes January and December and public holidays.

How to Skip the Theory Class

 At least one Day 1 classroom theory day must be completed prior to going into the system workshop, so that you can leverage what you know you have learned and valuable hands-on time is not wasted talking theory.

If you have already done the training with Margreet Leeftink of Victron Energy, then you can go directly to the Workshop Day 2 if you wish. Present verification of your Victron Training certificate on the day.
