RAAG - Inspired by Indian Classical Music

Nrityanidhi has spent 13 years creating spectacular performances through various themes that they have performed around the world.

The Exclusive Troupe has dancers that have been trained under Nrityanidhi, excelling in pure Kathak, and through that, creating pieces of work for varied audiences around the world.

Nrityanidhi has received much praise and acclamation for their choreographic presentations inspired by Sufi, Thumris, Ghazals, Traditional Kathak, and a show Inspired by Indian Classical Music from Indian Film and Private Artists; among many other themes and music styles.

Music.The Nrityanidhi style of fDance explores the mystical quality of Indian Classical music,where the

audience is experiencing one thing is reality, and so much more on an ethereal level.

"Raag" brings in spellbinding choreographic works to songs like Bhor Bhaye from Delhi6, Albela Sajan from

Bajirao Mastani,and the very famous Rangi Saari Gulabi Chunariya.

Artist Line-up and their description-

The Nrityanidhi troupe, a well-known Kathak troupe in India, & the only of its kind in the world; has received a worldwide recognition from UNESCO under the International Dance Council.

Nrityanidhi troupe has performed in various cities all over India, and the world. Spreading Kathak throughout California, USA, they have represented India, among 36 other esteemed countries, in the Folk Art Festival of China.

SHOMA KAIKINI

To feel the intensity of an emotion, is a blessing that an artist receives. To exude that emotion, allowing another to feel that very intensity, is a blessing that only a handful receive. Shoma Kaikini, is one of the very few artists, to have this enigmatic effect on the audience. The Founder of Nrityanidhi, and the creator of the Nrityanidhi style of Dance, she brings to us, this theme of ''Raag''.

The clouds spin with his Chakkars, and you hear the thunder with his footwork! Know that you will be mesmerized when you see him perform.With the blessings of his Guru, Pandit Birju Maharj ji, who he has trained under for 25 years; he enchants us all, as he takes stage at Nrityanidhi.

ASHWINI KAIKINI

Fluid movements and an epitome of grace, with flair she carries the elements of the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak. A classical dancer since childhood, she has performed all over the world with Nrityanidhi. She handles the branch here in Bangalore, and also spreads the message of Yoga through her Institute.
