Drawing on international perspectives and examples, Robyn will share recent updates, research and findings in the area of free play, followed by a Q&A session.
Robyn will explore the concept of play and challenge us to reflect on the role of educators as advocates and how best to protect and promote play.
Dr Shirley will outline the findings of her extensive research into the benefits of outdoor play, and how even with the most challenging space you can use loose parts to their full advantage.

Session B - 1 - 3 pm
There’s a lot for the children to learn by keeping worms and compost, but we often hear many services struggles with dying worms and stinky compost. James is an expert and will share all the hints and tips on how to keep the balance.
