Holden Street are continuing our tradition of bringing the best theatre from around the world to your backyard - this time, with our Feast Festival program throughout November and December, which includes 4 incredible productions.
Returning after an award-winning 2018 Adelaide Fringe season of Pedal and Castles, House of Sand in association with Holden Street Theatres present Alice Birch's hilarious and poignant post-feminist play at this year's Feast Festival.
Presented in House of Sand's signature visceral expressionist aesthetic "REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN. by Alice Birch" will be a punch in the face wrapped in a satin glove. It is an important work for everyone to see, a play which flips the script on sexual politics and is equal parts belly-laugh funny and gut-wrenchingly real.
Women take their rightful place, centre stage: becoming the aggressor in seductions, demanding what they want from work, and flipping the script on adversity, oppression and the politically incorrect.
House of Sand's acclaimed production "Welcome The Bright World" directed by Charles Sanders and produced in collaboration with the State Theatre of South Australia met with rave reviews. Now Charles Sanders and House of Sand return to Adelaide and Holden Street with "REVOLT."
Holden Street Theatres are proud to be Feast's Theatre Hub throughout the festival and to continue being the 'Home of Theatre' in Adelaide.
