Saturday childbirth and parenting education full day workshop 26 May 2018. Baby due July/Aug 2018

This is an intensive one-day workshop held on a Saturday. It is a very condensed version of the Evening Series. The workshop commences at 9am and concludes at 3pm.

YOU MUST BE BIRTHING YOUR BABY AT WESTMEAD HOSPITAL TO RECEIVE A DISCOUNTED FEE. ALL WOMEN BOOKED TO BIRTH THEIR BABY AT ANOTHER HOSPITAL MUST PAY FULL FEE.

It is recommended to book this workshop if you are due July/Aug 2018

This is ideal for couples who are: time poor; already have good knowledge of childbirth and parenting; or would like a refresher course for second child or partners’ first child.

• Positions for labour and birth
• Normal birth
• Pain relief options
• Caesarean birth
• Caring for your new baby
• Parenting issues
• Birth Unit Tour. 

Topics are discussed briefly due to time restraints. However there is always time for questions.

Cost of the Saturday Workshop also includes free registration to the Pre-natal Breastfeeding Workshop. The Prenatal Breastfeeding Workshop must be booked by selecting Bonus ticket after you select which breastfeeding workshop you wish to attend. You will be required to insert your Saturday workshop booking number to get the free registration.

The Saturday workshop will be held in the Seminar rooms of the Education and Conference Centre at Westmead Hospital (enter via the main entrance of the hospital).

Please be aware that you will be required to pay for parking if you choose to park within the hospital grounds.

Morning tea is included, however you are asked to bring or buy your own lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, refreshments can be purchased Zouki’s café.

This program is an interactive workshop designed to enhance your birthing and early parenting experience.

Do I bring my partner along to all the classes with me?​
Partners are encouraged to attend. If your partner can't make it then you can bring along a support person.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
You may like to bring a snack. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.

 Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can return to the booking page to do so.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You may print out your ticket or save on the eventbrite app.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund may be given only in the following circumstances:

•Premature birth 

•Hospital admission

•Cancellation request 3 weeks prior to the class commencement date 

An administration fee of $30 will be incurred on cancellation requests with less than 3 weeks’ notice

Private Health Fund rebates are available. A certificate is issued upon request.
