Little Scientists STEM Computer Science Workshop, Shailer Park QLD

Discover the concepts of computational thinking and learn how to “speak to a computer” by understanding how it works. This STEM learning opportunity will help you: playfully explore algorithms, sequencing and sorting discover the basics of computational thinking learn how to connect theory and practice in an engaging way implement our inquiry-based educational approach feel confident in unlocking the wonders of STEM benefit from the exchange with other educators and teachers take home information and inspiration in the Computer science booklet and cards you receive. Little Scientists workshops are endorsed to provide NESA Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level. Each workshop counts as five hours and 30 minutes of PD. Date:   Tuesday, 2 June 2020 Time:8:00am - 2:00pm Location: AIECS Campus, 56 Commercial Drive, Shailer Park, QLD 4128 Public transport: The bus route 552 stops near the venue on Shailer Road. The closest train station is Loganholme Station and 5 mins drive from the venue. Parking: Parking is available in the surround streets. Further information:  wear clothing suitable for hands-on activities and experiments. Cost:   $200 per person. Ticket cost includes morning and afternoon tea. Please BYO lunch.
