Journeys of life, love and dreams are evoked with, from USA, Frank Ticheli’s haunting cycle on the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore, and vocalises for mezzo-soprano and saxophone by Gregory Wanamaker; from Australia, incandescent music by Katy Abbott on the poetry of Chris Wallace-Crabbe and a new work by young Melbourne composer Sean Quinn; and the Romantic German Songs of Louis Spohr; culminating in the performance of a new arrangement of Schubert’s late masterpiece,
