Returning to shine a spotlight on Asia Pacific’s thriving ballroom scene, 2020 sees Sissy Ball take over the revered Enmore Theatre for the first time, soundtracked by renowned ballroom DJs and featuring appearances by international legends of the vogue scene.
Curated by multidisciplinary artist and House of Slé mother Bhenji Ra, expect attitude, fluidity and finesse on the runway in an evening of extreme excess, celebrating self-expression and identity as vogue houses and individual walkers take centre stage and fiercely battle it out for each category title.
From its beginnings in New York City’s underground queer nightclubs to 2020 where the influence of ball culture is felt across all art forms, vogue has become a canonized genre where everyone is welcome.
