Faster. Smarter. Sleeker. This is the reality of the digital world that we live in today. We are surrounded by technology everywhere we turn as organisations continue to innovate, create and disrupt. In our Smart Cities program with Accenture, students will be participating in a one day challenge to innovate and create as we explore how new and emerging technologies are changing the way we live and work now and into the future.

We live in a world surrounded by technology everywhere we turn. With technology that is faster, smarter, and sleeker than ever before, we’re seeing technology being used in every part of our lives. With tech that has been designed to make our lives easier, faster, more enjoyable and more accessible, our cities and our lives are more digital now than ever before. In our Smart Cities school holiday program with Accenture, students will be coming together for a jam-packed day of ideation and exploration as we learn about the range of new and emerging technologies coming into our day to day lives, and some of the amazing things they can do.

This program will see students working with one of Australia’s leaders in technology to learn about advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, connected devices, biometrics, robotics and extended realities just to name a few. In this program we aim to show students just how simple these technologies are to understand, whilst spending our time exploring how they are used in different ways by different people.

This program has been designed to take a fun, engaging and hands on approach to these advanced technologies, showing students how they can create, innovate and design with these tools. With a mix of activities, students will be using a range of skills over the day as they learn, explore and embrace their curiosity.

This program has been designed for students from grade 4-6 and does not require students to have any prior experience. All we ask is that students are eager and willing to learn!

Frequently Asked Questions

What Do Students Need To Bring: We ask that students bring their own morning tea and lunch as well as a device (laptop or tablet) if possible. We will have iPads for students to borrow, but if they would be more comfortable working on their own laptop or tablet we would recommend they bring theirs. We will be providing all equipment for the students to use over the day as well as some snacks throughout.

Will Students Be Working Alone Or In Groups: Students will have the option of either working by themselves or in groups that they are able to choose. We will have a series of challenges throughout the camp that will allow students to mix groups but it will be up to the students to choose their own group.

Pick Up And Drop Off Time: Our program will be running from 9am - 3pm but we will have the option for students to arrive from 8:30am and depart by 4pm if they wish to arrive early/stay late.
