This two-day conference features presentations from at least four world leaders in the assessment and treatment of peritoneal surface malignancy through cytoreductive surgery, heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC). Each of these speakers have contributed to major advances in our knowledge of peritoneal tumours and their treatment. Together, they will provide a comprehensive overview on the current and emerging techniques/strategies for the management of these diseases throughout the world.
Speakers will include:
Professor Olivier Glehen MD. PhD.
Professor Ignace de Hingh MD. PhD.
Professor Marc Reymond MD. PhD. - Professor Reymond is the inventor of the PIPAC procedure and is head of the National Centre for Pleura and Peritoneum in Tuebingen.
Dr Weibke Solass MD.- Dr Solass is pathologist, also from the National centre for Pleura and Peritoneum, who specialises in the assessment of regression in peritoneal malignancy. She is currently trying to implement the use of molecular data analysis in the treatment of patients with peritoneal malignancy in order to tailor the treatment to each patient's tumour biology. Her presentation will outline a system of pathological assessment and grading of response peritoneal cancers to PIPAC.
