More about our guest panelists:
Sakthi Priya Balaji Ranganathan
Sakthi is the Design Technologist and founder of JIX Reality - an Immersive-Tech startup that creates virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences that can augment your marketing, delight your customers, educate your visitors, or guide the differently-abled.
Sakthi was the regional winner of last year's NZ Space Challenge where he worked alongside Orbica to deliver a navigation solution that could guide Antarctic explorers safely across the ice and he represented the first Christchurch team in MAHUKI, world's first culture-Tech accelerator Programme by Te Papa, National Museum of New Zealand.
His early funneled access to digital technology and ambitious spirit to participate in science exhibitions and symposium competitions since his adolescent days propelled him to participate in several national and global hackathons during adulthood. Come and listen to him talk about his journey in startup life, accelerators and everything in between.
James Carr
James Carr is currently the ‘Business Manager’ at the University of Canterbury Centre for Entrepreneurship – a role that involves a little bit of everything from coaching and mentoring student founders to facilitating workshops and running competitions. Over the last decade he has worked with a startup English language services firm in Budapest, studied experimental condensed matter physics in Montreal, developed integrated health, safety and quality management systems for a young engineering design company in Christchurch, and took a year to explore Eastern Europe out of the back of a Mini.
