Cal Performances, The Department of Theater, Dance and Performance Studies, and Berkeley Physical Education are sponsoring a series of dance workshops with Seattle-based dancer, choreographer, and teacher Amy O’Neal. All students are welcome!
Come learn the cultural and stylistic differences between Popping, Locking, Breaking, Hip Hop party rock, Commercial Hip Hop, Street Jazz, and House and dance in the Cypher at our Street and Club Dances workshop.

Amy O'Neal is a dancer/choreographer/teacher with one foot planted in Hip Hop and Street Dance culture and the other in Contemporary dance/performance. She has toured her work throughout the US, Japan, and Mexico with Reggie Watts, the band leader for the Late Late Show with James Cordon. She collaborates with dancers from Rocksteady Crew and Massive Monkees and has directed shows with dancers from many different cultural traditions. She is the Choreographic Architect for an upcoming project with the UC Berkeley Dance Community.
