"And one day she discovered that she was fierce and strong, and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears"
-Mark Anthony
Hi and welcome to the very first S.W.E.T. event. My name is Nikki (aka Feisty) and I am a strong, independent woman. I am also a partner, a mother, a business owner and a crazy plant/cat lady. But gosh I have days when all I can do is try to breathe in and out.....
S.W.E.T was borne out of watching my fellow women go through pain, anxiety, exhaustion, and the swings and roundabouts of life. I want to create a safe space where we can build each other up, have fun along the way, broaden and empower our girl gang.
Itinerary:
9:30am- meet at The Rise (optional caffeine)
10:00am- "Alchem-ME" with Saraya Yuruten- professional coach and NLP practitioner.
Self defense techniques, development of your inner power, confidence building, theories of awareness and preparedness.
1 hour
11:00am- "Just Breathe" with Sara Evens from Bloom Yoga Room.
Guided breathing techniques to establish mindfulness and awareness of the body.
30mins
12:00pm "Ladies who Lunch"
A delicious shared lunch at Henry on Eighth with a glass of wine and some time to broaden your girl gang. The presentations after lunch will be here too.
1:00pm "Self Care and Empowerment" with Kristy Abbot- counsellor, hypnotherapist and well-being coach from The Maverick Clinic.
Strategies to move away from anxiety, distress or discomfort and bring awareness to yourself and move in to a space of health and wellbeing.
1 hour
2:00pm "Knowledge is Power" with Zoe O'neill- lawyer from the Sussex Street Community Law Service.
A list of resources should you ever need to achieve independence due to situations beyond your control.
30 mins
The two venues are within 1 minute walking distance of each other on Eighth Avenue in Maylands and the train station is at the end of the street.
*please let us know of any dietary requirements
** comfortable clothes are encouraged for the first workshop. Don't worry it won't be strenuous. Stay in them all day if you want!
*** we have endeavoured to stay within school hours as much as possible
