Graduates of the School of the Arts Singapore, saxophonist Samuel Phua and pianist Lin Xiang Ning will present an evening summer recital of old to French saxophone music. Though the saxophone was created in Belguim, it grew popularity in France, which was where many composers eventually wrote for the instrument. In this recital, expect to hear Christian Lauba's Jungle and Fernade Decruck's Sonata in C#, among other works.
