TeamMate - Working dog roadshow Wanaka
The TeamMate project is a three year observational study of South Island farm working dogs. We completed a full clinical examination of each dog, on farm, twice a year. Body condition scores, muscle condition scores, coat condition scores and morphometric measurements were recorded. Questions about breeding, kennelling, feeding, terrain worked on, classes of stock worked and health were also asked and those answers recorded.
This data is being analysed and is showing some interesting trends in working dogs, and will help optimise performance, and minimise loss of dogs from the working team.
Come and see the preliminary data from the working dogs in your area presented by Dr Naomi Cogger - Massey University and Dr Lori Linney - Vetlife.
Please phone your local Vetlife clinic to confirm your attendance.
