The Ed Tech Poetry Slam aims to capture the spirit of Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson and celebrate what it means to be a teacher in a digital world!

We will meet and mingle at the ClickView Pyrmont Offices, where Clickview have kindly offered to provide drinks and a small bite to eat.

Eight amazing educators will put their best poetic foot forward and bust out a few rhymes for us all to enjoy.

Poets include:

  1. Amanda Fox, a.k.a @SteamPunksEDU from Texas and in town keynoting the AIS Digital STEM conference

  2. Rob McTaggart, Learning Designer for the Department of Ed NSW

  3. Margaret Webb, Lecturer at ACU

  4. Maggie Mattson, Co-ordinator and Primary School teachers, Sydney Catholic Schools

Poets 5-8 will be announced as the event draws closer

Voting and awards will be determined by interactive audience voting.

Following the Poetry Slam there will be an Ed Tech Challenge that will see us leave the ClickView Offices and head through Darling Harbour. Participants in the challenge will be asked to complete several fun tasks. While doing the tasks teachers will be exposed to new tech tools that can be integrated into the classroom.

It is expected that the challenge will finish just after 8 pm.

(Warning staying with the #aussieED crew after 8pm may result in you singing Karaoke)
