About this Event

This 7-week workshop is perfect if you are a complete beginner or are self-taught, fairly new to the craft and just want to learn the basics.

Our 'in person' classes are interactive and currently in high demand with few spaces available. If this course is fully booked, then you can go on a cancellation list.

At the end of the workshop your participation Certificate will be sent to you via email at the end of the course.

Once you have attended this course you can feel confident that you have the basic skills to move forward into the next terms workshop.

A list of the materials that you need to bring will be emailed once your booking has been confirmed.

We work closely with our suppliers to offer a "Cake Decorating starter kit" and this will be emailed to you prior to the course - PLEASE NOTE: we do not provide equipment in the workshops, you will need to bring your own. There is no obligation to buy this through Fiona's Sugar Art Academy, however we can guarantee our kits will be a higher quality that will last you forever if used and cared for correctly. Total cost approx. $300.

Payment will be requested in full through Eventbrite at the time of making your booking, Fiona's Sugar Art Academy Vouchers can be accepted for this course.

If you need to cancel your booking -

For all our 'Actual in Person' classes we have a 'no refunds' policy. Should you decide to cancel or are unable to attend your event / leisure activity or cannot use your gift voucher for whatever reason (includes illness of any kind). At the school owner's discretion, if the booked event is scheduled one month or more in advance we may transfer you to another event but only if Fiona's Sugar Art Academy is able to re-sell the place, it is however not our responsibility to do so and we do advise that you source a replacement . You will incur a $20 administration fee.

The option to transfer to another event will not be offered if any of the following circumstances apply:

- Cancellation within 4 weeks of the event commencing (unless there is a waiting list, and the place can be resold).

- Students are unable to attend an event due to a change in personal circumstances (personal/family member incident, illness of any kind, work commitments or any other reason).

- Students are unable to attend an event due to travel problems, government-imposed travel restrictions / recommendations, bad weather, cancellations by travel operators or any other external factor outside of our control.

- Students decide not to attend a class because they do not have all the equipment / materials required. A kit list is sent to you by email once you have made your booking. You are welcome to contact us and ask for the kit list to be emailed to you in advance of your booking.

Travel or accommodation expenses will not be compensated should you or Fiona's Sugar Art Academy need to cancel an event.

Fiona's Sugar Art Academy holds the right to cancel or change the date of any of their advertised events / leisure activities for whatever reason:

In these circumstances Fiona's Sugar Art Academy will normally arrange an alternative date and offer students either a transfer to this date or, if this date is not convenient, an alternative course. If neither is possible a full refund will be offered. Travel and/or accommodation expenses will not be compensated for. Please ensure you have adequate travel or hotel accommodation.

In the event of unfavourable weather conditions:

Fiona's Sugar Art Academy will make the decision to cancel an event if we consider it unsafe to access the local main roads surrounding our classrooms in Mandurah. If you are attending a regular weekly leisure activity or a multiple day event that has already begun, a 'catch up' date will be arranged. If you are booked onto a One Day event that has not yet started Fiona's Sugar Art Academy will offer students either a transfer to an alternative date, a transfer to a different event or the option to receive a full refund of the course fee that you have paid.

If our event locations are unaffected by bad weather but you are unable to attend a course because of the conditions local to you, unfortunately we will not be able to offer an alternative date or refund. Travel and/or accommodation expenses will not be compensated for. Please ensure you have adequate travel/hotel insurance cover.
