The Young Sequoias Present: Electric Delta

Will Kallinderis and Matt Colyer of The Young Sequoias celebrate the music of the Mississippi Delta featuring songs by Mississippi Fred McDowell, Howlin’ Wolf, Junior Kimbrough, RL Burnside and other greats. 

The Mississippi Delta blues sound is characterised by an emphasis on vamps and droning single chord rhythms usually accompanied with harmonica and drums. The Young Sequoias will get you moving to these infectious rhythms along with their raw and gritty original boogie woogie, finger picking and bottleneck slide that’s bound to bring the Tin Shed down at the Wheaty!!
