Tree planting event
Tree planting as part of the 20 September Climate Strike
Do something good for yourself and for the environment. Come out and help us restore some of the woodlands on Macquarie University’s campus to their former beauty.
We’ll be planting native trees to help support the local birds, insects and other wildlife.
What you should bring:
- Water bottle
- Gloves (or borrow some gloves from us).
What we’ll bring:
- Trees to plant
- Water for the trees
What you’ll get:
- A beautiful afternoon out
- A deeper knowledge of native trees and how the climate affects Australia’s habitats
There will be two planting sessions on the day. The first is from 2 – 3 pm, the second from 3 – 4 pm. Please arrive about 10 minutes beforehand. Select the session when you get your free ticket.
Where to meet:
It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Macquarie University train station.
There is free parking on Taranto Rd (off Culloden Rd).
