Baking can be a tricky business, made even more complicated when you take out the eggs and dairy! So how do you bake incredible cakes – with a good rise and a tasty crumb – using only plant-based ingredients? Join this sweet workshop and we’ll show you how.
Course content
Simple sifting and mixing method
Creaming and beating method
Common egg replacements
How to get a great cake crumb and rise
Troubleshooting cake fails
Simple single layer cake decoration that is effective and impressive
This workshop will be a combination of demonstration and hands-on learning. Cakes will be baked and decorated in small groups and shared at the end of the session.

Please come prepared
All participants must wear closed-in shoes
Bring an apron – or wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy
Bring food containers to take home your delicious creations
Arrive up to 15 minutes before the class start time

Our class size maximum is 12. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the course may be postponed, or cancelled and a refund issued.
Please try to be punctual. Late arrivals can cause disruptions and delays for the other participants.
