Wine Australia Licensing and Approval System (WALAS) training (Melbourne)

Wine Australia is upgrading its Wine Export Approval system to create a new Wine Export Licensing and Approval System (WALAS) to deliver what users have been looking for – enhanced access, greater flexibility and self-service for edits and amendments.

The new system will allow:

• greater control and enhanced 24 x 7 access
• users to apply online for import certificates for all markets, make minor changes such as shipment departure dates and vessel names online and
• greater control of accounts, including review and payment online in real time.

WALAS will be launched in July this year and to ensure a seamless transition, Wine Australia will be holding comprehensive training programs in various locations.

The new system training will cover topics such as:

• Registering products
• Applying for shipping permits and exemptions
• Applying for import certificates
• Account management
