Now in its third year, the 2019 Wired Open Labs workshop series continues to engage outstanding Australian artists and artisans who provide unique experiences to suit every creative appetite.
Offered throughout the Eastern Riverina and South West Slopes these workshops cater to beginners through to experienced artists.
In this class you will learn about harvesting willow and its history of use in woven forms; basic willow weaving techniques and how to apply them to different shapes; and how to weave onto an existing frame template, creating a visually striking piece specific to the festive season.
Each participant will take home a handmade decorative willow wreath in time for the festive season, woven using locally sourced willow.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
