The Heights Church Women's Clothing Swap

Why?
Beyond being economical, eco-friendly and an excuse to clean out your clothing closet, a swap party can be fun and an easy event to invite your friends to.

How will it work?

1) Arrive on the day with the following:

- Up to a garbage bag full of clean, gently used, good quality women’s clothes

- (no ratty gym shorts or underwear please).

- A tote bag to cart your treasures home

- A coffee cup to enjoy a cuppa after you have finished your swapping

- A gold coin, so that we can make a donation to the local women’s shelter.

- A suggestion, perhaps wear bike shorts and a singlet to facilitate try ons

2) On arrival, your items will be counted and you will be given a button for each item that you have brought in.

3) Tables will be placed around the hall to group the clothing into similar items (ie tops, pants, dresses, accessories, etc), you will place the items on the correct sorting table and then visit your fellow swappers for a few minutes til the swapping begins. There will be an area allocated for try ons.

4) When all have arrived, the swapping begins. You are entitled to take one item for each button you have been given on arrival.

5) After everyone has finished swapping, and exited the hall, a second round of open swap time will take place. Any extra clothing will be sent off to a local charity.

6) Afternoon tea will be served after the swapping is finished.
