World Ikat Textiles Symposium 2019

The World Ikat Textiles Symposium (WITS) is a celebration of ikat, a textile technique shared across the world. Its objectives are to inform and educate on various ikat traditions, to foster cross-cultural exchanges on issues impacting ikat-producing communities and heritage preservation, and to develop connections between organizations, artisans and textile lovers. Previously held in the UK, India, Malaysia and Thailand, the fifth edition of WITS will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
